One of Lake Region Electric Cooperative’s long-serving directors, Denny Tollefson, is retiring from the cooperative board in 2021 after over a decade of service. Lake Region is looking for a member who lives in District 1 to fill the open seat.
Are you willing to share your talent, time, and perspective? The electric utility industry is extremely dynamic. Advances in technologies, consumer uses for electricity, higher member expectations, and an ever-changing legislative/regulatory climate must all be balanced by our local board of directors.
The District 1 Director Meeting will be held February 1st at 6:30 p.m. as a virtual, online meeting. Nominations for the director position will be made and fellow members of the district will vote for the candidate of their choice. Any member from District 1 who is interested in learning more about becoming a candidate for the LREC Board of Directors should call (800) 552-7658, ext. 9809.
Please submit nominations prior to the Director District Meeting so candidates can be invited to attend the Director District Meeting in person. Nominations prior to the meeting should be emailed to LREC’s attorney, Chad Felstul at c.felstul@pemlaw.com (please note that if you make a nomination prior to the Director District Meeting, the candidate will still need to be nominated during the Director District Meeting).
