Our Director District Meetings for Districts 1, 4, and 7 will be held virtually as online-only meetings for the health and safety of our members and employees. Please join us online for the Director District Meetings:
District 1: February 1st, 2021, at 6:30 p.m.
District 4: February 2nd, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.
District 7: February 3rd, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.
Due to COVID-19, and to ensure the health and safety of our employees and members, there will be no in-person Director District Meetings this year.
Although the Director District Meetings will be held in an online-only format, all the members of LREC will be able to watch. The members of Districts 1, 4, and 7 will still be able to participate in the democratic process of nominating candidates for the Board of Directors and voting for candidates for the Board of Directors.
Watch our website for links to the 2021 Director District Meetings. If you have a question you would like answered during the Director District Meetings, please email your question to lrec@lrec.coop prior to the meeting.
The voting process will look different this year as the voting will only happen online. Members of Districts 1, 4, and 7 will receive postcards in the mail with the notice of the Director District Meetings. Included on the postcards will be the website address where you will be able to vote during the Director District Meeting. In order to vote, you will need your account number. Your account number will be on the postcard that is sent out and it can also be found on your bill.
Our bylaws require that nominations for candidates for the Board of Directors be made at the Director District Meetings. Nominations will be made at the Director District Meetings by the members attending virtually. In addition, if you have a nomination for a candidate for the Board of Directors, we ask that you make that nomination prior to the Director District Meeting so we can invite the candidate to attend the Director District Meeting in person. Nominations prior to the Director District Meeting should be emailed to our attorney, Chad Felstul at c.felstul@pemlaw.com. Please remember that if you make a nomination before the Director District Meeting, the candidate will still need to be nominated at the Director District Meeting.
