Lake Region Electric Cooperative has joined with National Cooperative Bank (NCB) to help expand member access to solar and home energy upgrades at members’ homes. Through the effort, residential members will be able to finance their purchase of home energy products with a loan from NCB. These loans are available to LREC members interested in products such as GoWest Solar, standby generators, geothermal installations, or even home efficiency projects such as window upgrades and insulation. This provides a flexible option for members to spread their cost over multiple years instead of having to make a large, up-front cash payment.
“We are committed to serving our members needs,” said Tim Thompson, LREC CEO. “Ensuring members can participate and reap the benefits of these home energy improvements through easy financing options with NCB is an important part of that.”
NCB’s program allows for financing of solar and other home energy upgrades. The loan products provide for longer loan terms up to 15 years with a minimal application fee and competitive loan interest rates.
“National Cooperative Bank is thrilled to support LREC by providing competitive loan products to residential members that make it easy for them to enjoy the benefits of home energy upgrades such as solar energy,” said Chris Goettke, Head of Retail Lending for NCB. “Given our cooperative roots, we are especially proud to be able to work with LREC in support of our mutual missions of building community.”
