Lake Region Electric Cooperative (LREC) had a special guest join us on the job last week. Barnesville High School senior Braeden Bredman shadowed line crews for the day learning the ins and outs of being a lineworker.
Bredman spent his time learning about the cooperative, viewing our dispatch center and observing a new construction project, which included the installation of a pad-mounted transformer and meter.
LREC encourages students to learn about the cooperative through job shadowing like Bredman. Job shadowing is a great way to gain a deeper understanding of a future career path and to ask employees about their occupation. If you would like to learn more about the cooperative or a specific career, please reach out by calling (800) 552-7658 or by emailing lrec@lrec.coop.
