Operation Round Up Funds Awarded to Organizations

Four local organizations recently received funds totaling $5,201 through LREC’s Operation Round Up program. The total amount awarded since 2007 is $343,365. The funds were distributed by the Operation Round Up Board of Trustees at the October 12^th meeting. We’d like to thank two outgoing ORU trustees, Millie Ness (left) and Kathy Forsgren (right), for their service!

• $500 to Someplace Safe for COVID-19 related cleaning products and supplies.
• $2,000 to American Legion Post 238 to replace the flagpole at Veterans Park.
• $551 to Save the Trinity for insulating backroom for energy efficiency.
• $2,150 to BIO Girls for a new program located in Detroit Lakes.
